Shooting the longbow requires a commitment to fine tuning one's senses.
A traditional archer takes tremendous pride in this ultimate form of shooting. Mechanical devices give way to simplicity, offering deep satisfaction in the skill it takes to master the bow.

Our bows are constructed with passion and respect for fine craftsmanship and materials. Inspired by time-honored designs, we strive to meet the highest standards of excellence; vowing to continually improve our skills and knowledge.
 
We utilize earth friendly woods, from trees “born again” to a second life in the hands of the Bowyer. Quality air-dried Osage and Hickory are used in our bows. Exotic rainforest woods and European hardwoods such as Purpleheart, Bloodwood, Bocote, Ebony and Swiss Pear are also used in our designs.
 
Fine Tokin Bamboo and the best quality laminations are used, depending on the type of bow you choose. Nock tips of antler and other custom touches can be added for a slight addition to the cost. All laminated bows are bound with marine grade waterproof adhesives, sealed with moisture resistant urethane with a matte finish.

Bows include a Flemish twist bowstring, protective bow sock, finishing oil for touch up and instructions for care. There is a one year limited warranty covering all workmanship and materials.

Primitive Osage Orange Selfbows

Our selfbows are crafted from slow-growth Osage Orange billets. The customer can order a bow blank, floor-tillered, ready to finish in your shop, or a bow fully tillered and finished to your draw weight*

Laminated Bows

Laminated bows are reflex-deflex bow limb profile,  constructed of flexcore and Tonkin bamboo center laminations for speed, hardwood and fiberglas laminations.

Bamboo-Backed Osage Bows

This is the classic bamboo-backed Osage Orange bow, shot off the hand. For those who prefer to experience the bowyer's craft, we can also supply laminated blanks.

How To Order

The bow is a personal tool, and correct fitting of it depends completely on a detailed understanding of the archer's intended use, right or left-handedness, body type, strength, artistic preferences and shooting style. We can craft these bow designs with any number of modifications and options, and so to ensure your complete satisfaction a personal consultation is needed before an order can be placed.

Custom Bow Pricing

The spectrum of options and features is wide. However, typical prices will range according to the following:

Bow Blanks: $150 to $200
Primitive Osage Orange Selfbows: $400 to $600
Laminated Bows: $450 to $800
Bamboo-backed Osage: $600 to $800

Tillering to draw weights over 60 pounds will incur additional expense, exotic hide or bone accents will add to the final price.

*Finished selfbows are tillered to within 5 pounds of your specified draw weight.
